Career Change:

A change in career comes when you do not derive any satisfaction from your current job. It is always better to tune in with the changing times and scenario of the world. If you are working in some conventional field and not getting enough exposure, it is always advisable to change your career and try out other options that will offer you better scope and opportunities.


But in most cases, people mould their careers after schooling or after passing out from college. This is evident from the success stories of some great personalities. Many professionals may have studied irrelevant subjects in college, but this has not deterred them from excelling in careers centering round a totally different subject. Although this is a different story, the suggestion is that if the right subject is chosen and pursued, one can enter a profession of his or her choice.

Here are certain tips which you should follow before changing your career. Subject yourself to a self assessment.

1. Do you feel that you are outdated and not keeping pace with the times?

2. Are you satisfied with your present job and field?

3 Is the present job giving you the necessary exposure to meet the ever increasing demands of the future?

If the answers to the above questions are negative, then you should waste no time in moving in the right direction.

1. Go through career magazines and newspapers. Study the job scenario thoroughly and check out the available options.

2. Now you decide on the particular field you would like to work in and find out whether you are fit for that field or not. It is a very crucial decision and it helps to take the guidance of your seniors as well as elders who are already in that field.

3. Make enquiries as to what are the additional qualifications/capabilities you should have to make an entry into that field.

4. Mould yourself as per the requirements and be confident to face the change in career.
